MD Audit Shield, ready for a RAC audit before it happens
The federal Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) program hires private auditors to review Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial fee-for-service claims in every state. MD Audit Shield reviews your billing before they do.
RAC audits check for three things: coding inconsistencies, documentation supporting medical necessity, and overpayments or underpayments. If inconsistencies are found, practices repay the overpayment plus interest — appeals rarely succeed — and get re-audited every 45 days until the issue clears.
